Went for the first official robotics cca session, pretty impressed with what they have there. Think I will stay in NYJC unless I get 6 points, which is highly unlikely, due to my prowess in humanities subjects.<br />The school is damn solid, all the facilities are opened to the students and the food is very decent. Yep, love the place already. My CT is pretty decent and other than 2 guys, the rest are perfectly fine. Aiming to stay on at NYJC unless I get 4 points, cos I like the Chinese culture there, and I am aiming to go to a chinese school. And there is great news. They are planning to continue H2 China Studies in English for JAE. Great. Another reason to go there. Facilities are great, tutors are solid, library got alot of movies and cool books.<br /><br />Speaking (or rather, typing) about tutors, my civics tutor(secondary school equivalent of form teacher) is actually from Catholic High School. Now he is teaching me physics. Talk about coincidence. And there are quite a few Catholic High School old boys teaching there. The CHS connection. Yeah...<br /><br />Rather solid so far, other than the pile up of tutorials. The Lecture halls are pretty cold, suits me just fine, most classrooms are air-conditioned, lagi better, and the library is damn conducive for gaming. Seriously. Feeling enthu about chinese again, after having the spirit dampened by that "made in china" teacher. Really no standard. Homegrown teachers are better than her.<br /><br />Feeling rather tired now, after swimming on the floor. Literally. That was the PE. Seriously. Sounds easy, but hard to do. Tiring. Lectures... All sorts of teachers... Die...<br />Experienced my first day of JC life of lessons. Previously, it was only the fun part. The only lesson where I actually had interest in was China Studies in English. The rest bored me to death. Yeah. So official CCA meetings start next week. Good, got something to take my mind off studies.<br /><br />Saw the first maths question that I was unable to solve since the end of O' level. And still waiting for results to come out. Really. And the best part is that everyone has a different opinion of when it will come out. All spread out over CNY. Damn. Well, gonna waste a hell lot of time tmr with econs, 2 hours in total, but finally, I will have my first physics practical. Yeah.<br /><br />Went back to CHS as well, the Sec 1's were really unruly, taking the place as though it was their primary school. And they were ill-disciplined for the CCA as well. The worst part is, the situation is same islandwide, at least based on my sources. I seriously think that this new generation is overpampered and overprotected by their parents. Their parents will even complain if they are "pumped". Long gone are the days when we would not dare to complain about teachers. After all they were the "gods" in class. Now, students complain at every little thing the teacher does. If they are so spoilt and cannot take anything, they should just pack up and go. The school is a place for you to study, not for you to complain about teachers. No one is perfect, you spoilt brats. The P.E. was mad, and it made Mr Goh seemed like a very relaxed person. I miss his P.E. lessons. Lol. Well, it seems that we will never be able to appreciate what we have before us, until its gone.<br /><br />A couple of friends who are in AJ now complains about everything in AJ. And they once complained bout Cat High. Now they realise CHS is World-Class. Damn, talking bout CHS, that person who was the head of the dc is now in my CCA in CHS. Damn. Really bad luck. Alot of the good teachers are gone, a few more are going, and only a few good ones remain. Really got to pray hard for CHS.<br /><br />NY P.E. is really torture lor. 2.8km++ cos got to run on outer track + 45 crunches + 75 sets of jumping jacks + 45 push ups + a hell lot of other stretching exercises. It makes Mr Goh look like an angel. And his standards are one of the highest in CHS.<br /><br />Well, at least now got 2 old boys occupying HOD seats in CHS. At least we know that its in safe hands. Just hope that dm will also be another old boy as well. After, all the old boys turned teachers are well respected.<br /><br />Well, begin to miss CHS liao, though enjoying in NYJC(other than the P.E.). Wednesday is CCA day so cannot go back help Lego Robotics.<br /><br />Went back CHS in the morning, then went back again in the afternoon to help my juniors out.<br /><br />Oh yeah, to my juniors reading this, those of you who got Mr Heng as your English teacher, you are one lucky guy.<br /><br />I know that he gives a hell lot of work, and that you think you will die after one year. Yeah, you guys have already told me how much hw he gives. Trust me, follow his plan and you will be there at the end of the year. Seriously, you may end up half dead but you will survive to take your O's. I've been through it last year, under him as well, and well... pressure was large, but got through nonetheless. So gd luck guys, meeting you guys on Friday.<br /><br />Sec 4s, start to study, though CCA still must attend. Yeah. You guys need any help in physics and maths just ask me. After all, I am already going to take A levels for these 2 subjects. Yeah. I know. Its a long time since I last posted. Busy playing computer games. Well, this will be the last post for quite some time. Will be in China till the 14th December.<br /><br />Grad nite was fantastic(except that sulking oversized baby who thinks he owns the world, fancy trying to spark of a fight during grad nite). Seriously, it was fantastic. Foodwise... its not that good, but then again, it's hotel and hotels usually put more effort in the design rather than the taste. The whole dinner was quite well planned, activites were decent. Ok. Good job guys.<br /><br />Watched 2 movies recently, 墨攻 and Happy Feet. Both are good, if not fantastic. The storyline is there, the characters are realistic, and both movies actually teaches us very important life lessons. If I were to choose one, it would be 墨攻, simply cos it is a Chinese film. Got out of touch with desktops, so needed some time to know the new updates. I still prefer my laptop. Just got it on the 1st November, which was I believe to be 1 day before the History O' Levels. LOL. To those buying computers/laptops remember to look at Lenovo. It's a rather competitive brand. You get IBM technology(they sort of merged with IBM) for a Made in China price. You get the idea.<br /><br />A couple of weeks have passed, and my laptop still works as though its new. No LAGGING!!! And I can play Need for Speed Carbon on high graphics and details while doing an Avast Antivirus through scan of over 50gb worth of files and the game runs smoothly, while the scan completes in 1.5 hours. Good. The only downside is that it's battery lasts only 2 hours+ while playing NFS Carbon. But hey... buy it now and you will get a free battery.<br /><br />Ok... So BS aside, I know that some of you want to know what JC I am going to. Seriously, I don't know. I walk aimlessly down the path. And I'll probably decide on the last day. Really. History paper was unexpectedly easy. And I used to fail my history papers. Good ending to the O's. Now is time to relax, for the time being. Going to start work soon, doing a part-time job at a tuition centre for primary school kids. The pay is not bad. $50 per student for 6 sessions. Just to give them a crash course to prepare them for P5.<br /><br />Ok. Dead tired now, after some intensive gaming just now.<br /><br />To my juniors: Congrats for winning the robo soccer and techno master competition. You guys can do it. Build on this success for next year. All the best.
